Petrol and Diesel Only

Not compatible with hybrids or EVs DJI states that hybrid and fully electric vehicles are not compatible with either charger, because their generators work differently from a conventional alternator2. Malaysia's hybrid fleet is large and growing, so check what you drive before you order — this is not a cable you can adapt around.

Everything below assumes a conventional petrol or diesel vehicle with an alternator. If you drive a hybrid or an EV, mains and solar recharging still work normally; only the car half of these chargers does not.

1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger

1,200W of solar and 600W of car at the same time, 1,800W combined5. The one that matters if you are parked for days rather than driving between sites.

  • Connects to an RV battery and reverse-charges it from the station

Both work with the DJI Power 1000 V2 and the DJI Power 20006.

The part people miss

It Charges the Car Back

These are not one-way chargers. Both hold the car battery at 13.5 V: above that they draw from the alternator to fill the station, below it they push power the other way to stop the car battery going flat7.

Why that matters here

A vehicle left standing in the sun with a fridge or a radio running is how a flat battery happens on a shoot or a survey day. The station becomes the buffer instead of the casualty.

What it is not

It is not a jump starter and DJI does not sell it as one. It holds a healthy battery healthy; it will not revive a dead one, and it will not substitute for a second battery.

The Malaysian DJI catalogue carries three power stations and nothing else1. Both chargers, the expansion battery, the MPPT module and every SDC cable come in to order.

  1. Checked against the djistore-malaysia.com catalogue on 2026-09-24, and again on 2026-09-26 through the store's own collection feed, which returns three power stations and no accessories at all.
  2. Hybrid and fully electric vehicles are currently not compatible with DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger or DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger, due to differences in generator operation compared to traditional fuel-powered vehicles.
  3. DJI's published Malaysia after-sales table gives both super fast chargers 24 months, read 2026-09-25.
  4. At ambient temperatures between 0° to 45° C, DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger can recharge Power 1000, Power 1000 V2, or Power 2000 at a maximum power of 1000 W via the car's alternator. Data was tested in a controlled laboratory environment.
  5. At ambient temperatures between 0° C and 45° C, DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger can continuously recharge Power 1000, Power 1000 V2, or Power 2000 at 600 W via the car's alternator, and can also simultaneously connect to up to 1200 W of solar panels.
  6. In different countries or regions, a compatible power adapter cable needs to be purchased separately. The 1.8kW charger's MC4 Solar Panel Cable supports up to 1200 W solar input. Its XT90 Car/Solar Charging Port can be expanded to an MC4 connector using the separately sold XT90 to MC4 Adapter Cable, providing an additional 600 W solar input.
  7. Two-way charging refers to supplying power to the car's battery via Power 1000, Power 1000 V2, or Power 2000, or recharging Power 1000, Power 1000 V2, or Power 2000 via the car's alternator. Both the DJI Power 1.8kW and 1kW Super Fast Chargers can stabilize the car battery voltage at 13.5 V. Depending on the voltage status, they can either recharge the station (when the voltage is above 13.5 V), or supply power from the station to the car battery (when the voltage is below 13.5 V).
